While there may not be any other woman drama or cheating, Vince does sleep around during the period of time he and Bristol were apart. I mean, a lot. His excuse is that he was trying to get over her any way possible. There’s a lot of self-sabotage with him bringing himself down to the point where he actually believes he is incapable and unworthy of love. I—I don’t understand.” Emotion balls in my throat and chills chase over my skin. “You can’t go. We have plans.” I shake my head as if the action will help this make sense. It doesn’t. “But you—” I don’t know what to do so I kiss him again. Soft and slow and unknowingly try to give him everything he needs but won’t say that he does.

I couldn’t pinpoint one redeeming quality that he had to offer. He was awful in the worst ways that made me truly hate the idea of reading any more of this book, and I can’t force myself to read a book where I despise one of the main characters, especially a dual POV book. I truly can’t believe his character is 29 years old (I’m pretty sure since I believe he’s a year older than Bristol).This group is a safe environment, where readers can find awesome new books to obsess over while gaining deeper insight into the creation of their favorite stories. I’ve never read a book by @kbromberg and after reading this book I’ll definitely scope out some more! Let’s get into what I loved about it— He’s been like this before when whatever happens at his house . . . happens. He’s come to me not wanting to talk but needing my company. He’s come to me with a swollen cheek or busted lip but has refused to explain other than to play it off with a “you should’ve seen the other guy” type of comment. Despite the groupies, the success, the fun, life under the bright glare of fame and fortune isn’t enough. This is a group for discussing books and authors of adult contemporary romances between a male and a female.Bristol's regrets were buried not only in the past but in the present and quite possibly the future, but Vince's regrets go deeper. From a father who never loved him enough, to a mother that left when he was young, Vince vowed never to be like them and letting go of Bristol to protect her was the only option. Besides those two gross moments, I loved the book, the writing was easy to read and I loved Bristol and jagger, and her mom!! Gosh I loved her so much. Vince and Bristol always had an undeniable chemistry, a loved that’s survived every since high school, but there’s things that have kept them apart…things in his past that caused there distance for years and years, My heart jumps out of my chest as I scan the shadows of my room for whatever just yanked me from sleep. The mystery behind the MFC definitely had me hooked. We knew she was hiding from her past, but I loved learning all the details as time passed in the book!
