About this deal

Fortunately, the fantastic TP-Link Deco companion mobile app is still regularly updated and is recommended for setting up the XE75 Pro. The process has never changed for their mesh range, starting with one Deco connected to your modem via the fastest available LAN/WAN port. Using the 2.5Gbps port on either, the primary Deco shows a pulsing blue light, indicating it's ready for setup.

Use of Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), Wi-Fi 6E, and features including OFDMA, 1024-QAM, and HE160 requires clients to also support the corresponding features. Not all seven 160MHz channels may be available in the 6 GHz band in some regions/countries due to regulatory restrictions. The double channel width refers to 160 MHz compared to 80 MHz for general WiFi 6 routers. I will preface by saying this was the first time in ten years I have had a dedicated Wi-Fi router. Most of the time, I was just using the Wi-Fi router included with the modem of my internet service provider. My experience with the TP-Link AXE5400 Tri-Band Gigabit Wi-Fi 6E router was interesting for its ability to handle connections directly to my phone, TV upstairs, and tablet. TP-Link has been known to be a technological leader in reliable networking devices and accessories for global markets—building on its predecessors like the TP-Link Deco XE75 router. When you open the 6GHz band to the client, it’ll be available as a separate network name (SSID) — you can’t name it the same as the other two bands. A firmware update can resolve issues that the previous firmware version may have and improve its current performance. To Upgrade Wi-Fi 6E is still relatively young, and there aren't too many devices ready to take full advantage of it. TP-Link offers methods to future-proof your home with mesh Wi-Fi sets like this Deco Pro and affordable routers like the fantastic Archer AXE75. Unfortunately, most of the same headaches found with other Deco models persist here.

WiFi 6E allows for 7 (3 for European Union Member states) additional 160 MHz channels, offeringup to 1,200 MHz (480 MHz for European Union Member states) of additional spectrum for 6 GHz WiFi.

Easy Setup

One of the best parts about TP-Link's Deco range is the accompanying Deco app, available on Android and iOS devices, making it super simple to set up the mesh system. It's as easy as following the instructions on-screen, barely needing to ever glance at the paper manual in the box. With my ISP-provided combination modem/router set to modem-only mode, I can connect to any router of my choosing via its high-speed WAN port. All units in the Deco XE75 sets have three Gigabit LAN/WAN ports, so you can plug into whichever is most convenient, and the Deco will communicate with the app. Another unique feature the Deco AXE5400 Tri-Band Mesh Wi-Fi 6e System offers today is its automatic networking function that optimizes the networking every time a Deco unit disappears or is added to the network. We moved the Deco around our house to find the optimal location. We just powered down one Deco and moved it to the second floor in our house. Then we powered it up and the entire network adjusted to the optimal networking settings. If you do this in your home, remember to wait for the networking to complete and Deco’s LED to turn green. It will take a while for the light to turn green. It did for us during testing. You may use the respective software condition to following the GPL licence terms. To put in a sentence, the Deco XE75 is an affordable Wi-Fi 6E system that gets the job done with minimum effort as long as you’re OK with managing your network TP-Link’s way. Really enjoying your posts and learning a lot. I was between the TP-Link Deco XE75 and eero Pro 6E but via your posts, have decided to steer clear of eero for the time being. In reading this post, though, I’m curious if I should steer clear of a 6E solution altogether.

Wifi 6E in heel het huis–met een bereik tot 510m 2 met de nieuwe generatie wifi behoren slechte verbindingen en bufferen tot het verleden †‡ I left my house and walked 60 feet down the street before the AXE75's Wi-Fi signal finally dropped. While I praised the wireless performance of the six adjustable antennas, their construction leaves some room for improvement. The rotating hinges leave visible gaps and expose fragile wires in each, prone to potential damage in some disastrous scenario or simple wear and tear if too frequently adjusted over the years.Functionality of Archer TXE75E may be restricted on some computing systems and platforms. Please try to update the device’s driver for feature compatibility. It's recommended that users stop all Internet applications on the computer, or simply disconnect Internet line from the device before the upgrade. There are still no USB ports on the Deco, which prevents network-attached storage (NAS) from connecting in the usual fashion. Printers must remain attached to a specific device or rely on their (usually shoddy) Wi-Fi connection. Not many people disdain wireless printers as much as I do, and mesh Wi-Fi can remedy printing headaches when USB ports are available, so it's a shame to miss out here. The AXE75’s 6GHz throughput performance was pretty much in line with its 5GHz performance. It scored 921Mbps on the close-proximity test, while the Linksys Hydra Pro 6E managed 927Mbps. At a distance of 30 feet, the AXE75 delivered 397Mbps, beating the Linksys Hydra Pro 6E (379Mbps) but trailing the Asus ROG Rapture GT-AXE16000 (401Mbps) and the Netgear RAXE500 (427Mbps). After the setup, the app allows for managing the system from anywhere globally, as long as you have Internet access on your phone.
