About this deal

It’s hard enough to be stealthy when you’re a nine-foot tall super soldier, but how about the challenge of going covert with not one but two Invictor Tactical Warsuits? If anyone would know how to pull that off, it’s Raven Guard Chapter Master Kayvaan Shrike, who also leads a squad of Reivers, a trio of Eliminators, and a Phobos-armoured Librarian for a total of 17 miniatures ready for an ambush. First up are the vampires of the Soulblight Gravelords, who lead a dolorous horde of brainless thralls in a bumper box which contains 66 miniatures. Hordes of Deadwalker Zombies are particularly useful for pinning down enemy forces while the Vengorian Lord and their Blood Knights swoop in for the jugular.

Likewise, there is no longer an official Death Guard model. Instead, he does give you the opportunity to build an unique unit from the same bin of parts as the Chaos Lord. You’ll need to find something suitable cool for the force stave or axe. They’re traditional and you don’t want to minus to hit from a fist. Lord of War There’s nothing worse than being woken up from your nap aeons earlier than planned, which is a fact of (synthetic) life for Necrons across the galaxy. This Battleforce is especially cranky about it, and wants to put its opponents to bed with esoteric guns wielded by Lokhust Heavy Destroyers and Canoptek Doomstalkers, and the razor-sharp claws of the Ophydian Destroyers and Flayed Ones. On Warhammer+ this week, Interrogator season one gets a Final Cut which compiles everything into one feature-length show. The Battle Report team dive into the Ravening Ruin for a Warcry: Sundered Fate clash, while Loremasters investigates the many regiments of the Astra Millitarum. It may seem strange, but there’s no commander for this army. Plague Surgeon dwells in the Elite slot, and, honestly, is one of the weakest characters in the army. So, think about someone to lead your army. Probably, a part of Dark Imperium starter is a good idea. It’s cheap and gives you one more Drone with useful wargear, 2 (or 1) squads of extremely required Poxwalkers, enough to fill 2 extra troops slots for a batallion detachment, Plague marines for conversions and alternative use, and Malignant Plaguecaster. This guy must be in your roster because there are many useful spells in this codex. He can both support close combat units or cover those who are left behind. Starter lord is totally useless – he does all the things that Typhus can but has no psychic powers and special abilities. Considering the minimal price difference, it’s better to buy Typhus. The miniature is awesome, by the way.Somehow, it’s happened again – Christmas is nearly here. It’s time for the greatest gift possible – Yuletide cheer and festive spirit. Or even better, massive Battleforce boxes full of Warhammer 40,000 goodies.

Anyone who had nuns in big metal jumpsuits on their Christmas bingo card is going to be rubbing their hands with glee at the Sanctorum Guard battleforce, which contains 23 saintly miniatures. Morven Vahl spearheads a cohort of six Paragon Warsuits, while a complement of Celestian Sacresants and a Battle Sister squad give you more zealots than you can shake a brazier at. Killdakka, what a wonderful word to say out loud… Ork speech is poetry when you think about it. This box includes 20 Boyz, plus a Deffkilla Wartrike, your choice of Orky aeroplane, and a Big Mek. That’s lots of kill, and indeed dakka. Games Workshop announced a part of Christmass battleforces for Warhammer. And there’s a Death Guard set there. Let’s imagine that you’ve bought this box and want to start playing. What should you take next? Also, let’s see, how does this codex feel after a year since the release. Ravenguard is just like the Imperial Fists, great for new players and not any big named models. Adeptus Mechanicus – Technoarcheologist You can find rules for using Escher Cutters in The Aranthian Succession – Cinderak Burning . Escher Tactics Cards and Ash Wastes DiceClose combat loadout is an interesting choice since maces deal 3 damage and flails are perfect crowd killers. The problem is that it’s still quite expensive and wielded by single wound models. Half of them won’t even reach close combat. If you are playing against shooting army – don’t even think about it. But if your enemy doesn’t mind to fight hand to hand, you may add here your Plague Surgeon, Tallyman to grant re-rolls and a Plaguecaster to increase toughness, strength and a chance to wound the enemy. Such old school death star can destroy a lot of units. If it manages to come to close combat. The main thing – take 7 plague marines. You critically need 2 guys with maces, 2 with flails, and a sergeant. So, the other 2 can be sacrificed with no regret. There’s no use to take 10, since you need space for the characters. Unfortunately, there’s only one mace and flail in the set, so’ you’ll have to find extra ones somewhere else. Add a little more finesse to your slaughter with the Sybarite Blade-Carnival, which collects a cavalcade of elite Slaanesh Mortals in one place. When these peerless warriors aren’t preening, they’re a surgical strike force comprising 30 miniatures – perfect for tearing reality in two and summoning gaggles of Daemonettes.

Death Guard - The Outpost Death Guard - The Outpost

All these units compose a roster of 2000 points depending on the wargear you take. It’s easy to make it 2500 – just take Mortarion. He’s quite deadly and doesn’t really need support. The main thing – don’t forget to cast -1 to hit every turn. There’s no way to heal him, so, unprotected, he dies very fast. Supplies from Mars are slightly delayed for those of you in Canada and the US, where the Omnissiah’s Talon box will drop early next year. Adepta Sororitas Battleforce: Purgatos Mission Magnus the Red is the 41st Millenium’s premiere big scarlet-skinned chap, at least until his very angry brother turns up. Joining him are 23 of his sons – 20 dusty Rubric Marines and three Exalted Sorcerers living their best arcane life. All six of these battleforces are coming this December, so stay tuned to Warhammer Community for more details.

Lords of the Death Guard

As a new HQ this great to finally see a separate release. One support piece can add many different play options to a list! Alternately, here’s an excellent opportunity to practice your converting skills. You get just the loadout you want and unique appearance. He’ll be yours and yours alone! Death Guard Chaos Lord in Terminator Armor The Warhammer Vault also expands, this time with White Dwarf issues 318 and 319, and you can get your fill of aelven theological gossip with Broken Realms: Morathi and Broken Realms: Teclis . The Adeptus Custodes are the most magnificent of the Emperor’s warriors, sworn to protect the Throneworld from rebels, invaders, and anyone looking to open their presents early. This Battleforce puts the peerless Captain-General Trajann Valoris at the head of a powerful cadre comprising three Vertus Praetors on Dawneagle Jetbikes (which can also build a Shield Captain) and three indomitable Allarus Custodians (which can also build a Shield-Captain and a Vexilus Praetor). The bulk of this unbreakable force is made up of 15 Custodian Guard , which also have options to build Shield Captains and Vexilus Praetors. Adeptus Mechanicus – Elimination Maniple The first Chaos box has a good assort of Thousand Sons models, and it’s even led by Magnus! That means it’s fantastic for new players but maybe a little harder to justify for someone who already owns Magnus. Battleforce: Death Guard – Council of The Death Lord

Death Lord - Warhammer 40k - Lexicanum Council of the Death Lord - Warhammer 40k - Lexicanum

If you haven’t already, this is a fantastic time to explore the new edition of Warhammer Age of Sigmar. Four giant Battleforces thunder onto the scene this year to either expand your existing army or to help you take the plunge into the Era of the Beast. Battleforce: Soulblight Gravelords Revenant Legion The real shame of this box is that Sisters tanks just don’t see much play. While Exorcists were a mainstay of Sisters armies prior to their 2021 codex, modern competitive forces rely much more on foot-slogging lists, potentially with the support of a rhino or two. That said, Immolators do see some use in good lists here and there – most recently at the North and South GT in a top 4 list, where taking 1-2 can give you a tough, mobile source of multi-melta shots, and a recent September GT-winning list featured an Exorcist, and neither are bad units. Beyond that, the Sacresants and battle sisters are must-haves in every Adepta Sororitas army and the Dogmata shows up in most, making this a box that’s great for new players and potentially still a good value for players looking to add to their army who don’t mind adding a couple of tanks. Final Verdict: Good Value Did I mention he’s psychic? He knows Smite and 3 powers from the Contagion Discipline. He may manifest 2 and deny 3 per turn. I suppose we should be thankful he doesn’t have Pestilential Fallout as well.Orks know what they like, and they like fighting. Anything that makes them faster, shootier, or choppier is fair game, and the Killdakka Warband is made up of all sorts of Boyz armed with whatever they can find to krump their foes with.
